No. If you currently have cancer and/or have a previous history of cancer. It is required to get a written approval from your oncologist should you want to proceed.
Yes! However fine facial hair, blonde and grey hair might take longer. Coarse and dark hair has a quicker response rate.
No! There will be a waiting period of 6 months after the completion of your accutane treatments and a written consent from your family doctor to proceed with the procedure.
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) examines, tests and approves a wide range of items for medical use, including drugs and medical appliances. In the simplest terms, "FDA approval" means that the FDA has decided that the benefits of the approved item outweigh the potential risk for the item's planned use.

Laser Technology

It is a 808nm Diode Laser Lux hair removal machine.
This specific laser specialises in all hair and skin types which is most effective at removing hair from deep down the hair follicle. The light from the laser penetrates deeper into the hair and it has a more concentrated light which is more effective in removing the hair.
It is the wavelength measured in nanometers, this diode 808nm laser hair removal machine makes it possible to work on light, medium and dark skin tones for laser hair removal.
No it isn’t. IPL laser only specialises in light to medium colour skin and dark hair whereas the 808nm Diode Laser Lux penetrates light to fully remove the hair from the root. IPL is an intense pulsating light which is less effective as it only reduces the hair superficially and not removing the hair effectively on a deeper level.

Treatment Experience

No it doesn't hurt, but there is a slight tingling sensation which is bearably painless. Most women have this perception that lasers are painful and unbearable, which are the old traditional lasers that was once upon used. What if I told you, it is honestly not like that at all as our 808nm diode laser lux allows it to be quick and easy.
Slight tingles, subtle pins and needles effect. A sensation of a little heat but bearable. The therapist will ensure to ask you how comfortable you are during the treatment. A sapphire cooling system will be felt from time to time, providing a cooling sensation which soothes and comforts the skin.
Yes we do.  It is most effective and helpful to remove ingrown hairs or even shaving bumps.  What the laser does is, it destroys hair follicles at the root of the hair itself and doesn't get a chance to form an ingrown hair again.   However within over time the hairs become thinner and lighter slowly but surely stopping it from happening again. It is important to note that laser is not an overnight solution to this condition but over time it can reduce ingrown hairs and prevent them from forming.  Consistency is key.

After Treatment

  • It takes approximately between 2-3 weeks to see hair naturally shed by itself after one treatment. This is where you don’t get involved in the process, allow the hair to fall out on its own. No other hair removal methods may be used on the treated areas.

  • Stay strictly loyal by surrendering your hair to Safyre Smooth; completing your laser hair removal treatments up until it is totally complete to see results. No waxing, plucking, epilating nor threading may be done during laser treatments as it will disturb the progress. The only exception would be shaving as it is on the surface of the skin.
If not done accordingly and correctly; expected regrowth can occur. For best results we recommend that you follow our recommended guidelines to keep the momentum of your personal laser hair removal journey.
No gyming, no steam rooms, no saunas, no heated rooms and avoid very hot water for at least 48 hrs. As laser treatments use heat to destroy hair follicles, thus it can increase skin irritation and possible skin infection.
Do not make use of any other form of hair removal such as tweezing, threading, waxing, epilation or electrolysis after treatment; as this will disturb the progress of the laser hair removal on the particular area. Avoid scratching and picking on the area that has been treated.
Yes.  You might experience the following:
  • Skin redness and irritation - redness and skin irritation are very common in laser hair removal. It is even more common if you are getting it done on a relatively sensitive area of your body.
  • Changes in skin pigmentation - you might also notice changes in your skin tone after the treatment. If you have a light coloured skin tone, you might notice dark spots on your skin. If you have a dark complexion, you might notice lighter spots on your skin. These changes are usually temporary.
  • Flare of acne.
  • Swelling around the follicle - this is a normal reaction.
  • Avoid direct exposure to the sun after treatment as much as possible.
  • Apply an SPF 30+ at least 20 minutes prior to going out in the sun.  Ensure you travel with an SPF to your convenience.
  • This is to avoid dark or light spots to appear on the area treated by the laser.
  • To limit the damage to the skin, take extra special care, especially your face as it's the only face you have and the rest of your body.  Make sure to make use of an SPF30+ and ensure areas are covered to prevent skin from hyper pigmentation.
  • It is extremely vital to prevent hyper-pigmentation from occurring  especially when the skin is exposed to smartphones, computers and tablets on a regular basis, it plays a huge influence due to the screen light causing UV damage, age spots, dark spots and reducing skin elasticity.
Yes! As long as you make use of a fresh make-up sponge before applying foundation as a used sponge can contaminate the skin. Ensure to apply a moisturiser to hydrate your skin effectively which will help with discomfort and use a good SPF 30+ to protect the skin from hyper-pigmentation.
Yes, definitely! There is no downtime which means that there is no need to let that area relax for a while up until you continue the rest of your day. You can go back to your day as normal, it's that comfortable.
  • You may have a shower, however ensure that you gently wash with a mild soap and in luke-warm water.  Avoid very hot water.
  • Preferably pat dry the skin and do not rub it.
  • Please advise if your underarms were treated, take special care by not applying any deodorant for at least 24 hours after the treatment as it can  cause skin irritation.  Rather make use of a powder, aloe vera or our recommended medi gel mask by the microskin care range to reduce the skin irritation.
Shaving… ONLY shaving may be done during the course of laser hair removal treatments.
That is perfectly normal for that to occur. Should the skin be irritated, you may use ice or anything soothing such as 100% aloe vera or the recommended Medi gel mask from the MicroSkin care range which assists in comforting the skin from skin irritation. It is highly advised that you apply a post lotion twice a day for 3 days to ensure skin is well nourished and moisturised.
